Definition
Linear Modelling is using linear equations to mathematically calculate solutions for a given situation. There are often differences between the mathematical solutions and the actual solutions due to "real life". These differences are known as weaknesses of the mathematical model. The weaknesses can be removed from the mathematical model by the use of assumptions. Assumptions are statements that say "these errors don't occur".
